:- 3.0 out of 5 stars from words&blankspaces -- Great potential but fell short : I was really into this story and liking the characters. Then the story just jumps from them resisting each other to being with each other in no time. It didn't make sense with the pace the book was going. I didn't really buy these two as a couple after that. It felt forced. I didn't really like when Spencer apologized to Will. He basically said he didn't trust him because trusting him was so easy for him. Like what? I would have understood it more if he just would have said something like 'I was a jerk and that was my knee-jerk reaction to being outed'. I didn't mind about the text messages being reminiscent of the Love and Luck series. I would have just liked the story to be set up a little differently and it would have been immensely better. This book incorporates a few BDSM elements (power exchange, light bondage) but it is not a BDSM book. I read the Love and Luck series a while back, and some of those MCs make an appearance in this book, but the other books do not need to be read first (or at all) to understand this one. I love how Will and Spencer don't have the same typical "negative reaction at every turn" that sometimes characters with past traumas tend to be portrayed.
